Discounted Rates Still Available for Additive Manufacturing Strategies Summit on Medical and Dental 3D Printing

By now, most people are at least marginally familiar with 3D printing – they’ve heard of it, and they know that it’s doing more important things than just churning out plastic objects to sit on a shelf. Even if they’re not familiar with the details, most people also know that 3D printing is being used to do important and lifesaving things in the medical industry. It’s also being used more and more frequently in the dental industry, and these two verticals are the focus of the upcoming Additive Manufacturing Strategies summit, which 3DPrint.com is putting on with SmarTech Markets Publishing in January.

On January 22 and 23, those interested in learning more about the business and investment side of medical and dental 3D printing will meet at the Army and Navy Club in Washington, D.C. where more than two dozen highly-informed speakers will discuss 3D printing in medicine and dentistry, offering thoughts from medical and business as well as technological and legal perspectives. Several speakers were announced last month, and several others in September. Since then, five more speakers have been added to the growing agenda:

  • Dr. Hui Jenny Chen, MD
    Founder and CEO of 3DHeals
  • Brian Ganey
Head of the Dental Division at Carbon
  • Todd Pietila
Senior Technical Consultant and Business Development Manager at Materialise
  • Lyman Connor
Founder and Chief Technical Officer at Handsmith
  • Steve Pollack
Research Scientist at Carbon and former 3DP Evangelist at the FDA

Topics discussed in keynotes and panels will include 3D printed prosthetics and medical implants, 3D printing in surgical planning, biomedical 3D printing materials, the bioprinting market, the dental market, and a lot more. Attendees will learn which medical and dental 3D printing applications are useful now and will be in the future, and will discuss which applications will become standard practice and which will remain in the lab. They will see several sessions presenting up to date forecasts of 3D printing penetration and revenue generation, and will learn about specialist 3D printing services targeted toward doctors, dentists and hospitals. Insight will be provided into the areas in which so-called “additive medicine” is generating money, and how intellectual property will impact investment considerations.

This is an important conference as it addresses an area of business that is just going to keep growing. Lives are being improved and even saved by the use of 3D printing in medicine, and people are taking real notice, not just within the medical field but from outside of it as well. This isn’t just a trend – 3D printing isn’t leaving the medical or dental fields, and is only going to become more prevalent in both. Knowing exactly what kind of applications are going to go the furthest in these industries is important for everyone, and especially for investors.

There’s still plenty of time to register – but there’s not much time left to register at a discounted rate.
