Formnext, begun November 19th and rolling on through the 22nd in Frankfurt, Germany, welcomes hundreds of new exhibitors and over 26,000 visitors—all eager to see the latest in additive manufacturing innovations. Many powerful industry leaders continue to partner with other companies to complement their talents and resources, to include EnvisionTEC and Sartomer—attending the show to present their new E-Aquasol water-soluble resin.
EnvisionTEC, headquartered in Germany—with offices in the US—is known as a force in 3D printing solutions for demanding users on the professional level, while Sartomer (part of the Arkema group) has been in business for over 60 years, now specializing in chemicals for ultraviolet and electron beam (UV/EB), peroxide, and two-part epoxy/amine systems. This particular collaboration will result in the use of the E-Aquasol resin, integrating Sartomer’s N3xtDimension UV-curable resin technology to be used on the EnvisionTEC proprietary cDLM® 3D printing platform.

E-Aquasol resin is expected to offer many benefits to industrial users as they are able to shell cast parts with thin walls but in high resolution. With exceptionally high-water solubility, E-Aquasol is targeted toward users who seek to avoid caustic solvents.
